Eligibility
Provides gas bill payment assistance to Columbia Gas customers whose account is in arrears or is in shutoff. Income eligibility 300% of federal poverty level or below. Maximum benefit of $450.
Required documents
Most recent gas bill or termination notice. Current ID for all members of the household (no Social Security cards). One photo ID must be for the customer listed on the bill. Birth certificates or medical cards for children (must have birth dates listed). Must have proof of income in past 30 days or self declare no income. If the person listed on the account is not the applicant, the applicant will need the ID of the account holder and a note from him/her permitting the applicant to discuss the account.
