Works to develop housing through private funding and volunteer labor for low-income families. Houses are built or renovated with volunteers and approved families, then sold to qualifying recipients who pay a mortgage. Offers home ownership training for recipients and continued support after moving into the house. This is not an emergency housing program - process may take up to two years.

Eligibility
Must be 21 yrs. of age or older. Basic qualifications are: resident of Lake or Geauga County in need of decent, affordable housing. Income must be low to mederate within 30%-80% of the Area Median Income (AMI). For example, in 2024 these levels were: Household of 1: $20,450-$68,100; 2: $23,350-$77,800; 3: $26,250-$87,500; 4: $32,000-$97,200, etc. All applicants must pass background check (provided by agency).
