Lead Safe Akron Program | Akron City Of - Department Of Neighborhood Assistance

Provides grants to assist eligible City of Akron residents with lead control projects. Landlords may be eligible to receive a 75% grant for work to control lead paint. Lead abatement projects can include siding, doors, windows, steps, and porches.

Eligibility

Must meet the following criteria: - The home is built before 1978 and has lead paint hazards. - A child under the age of six (6) lives in the home OR visits the home for a period of at least six (6) hours a week. - The household meets the income guidelines (subject to change) as set forth by HUD. - If renting, landlord must complete application.
