Eligibility
To be seen at the Bright Spot Clinic, clients will need to provide either:
  • A voucher from Licking County Humane Society Humane Agent
  • Provide proof of income qualification and a government ID. please bring one of the following: Section 8 housing voucher, schedule letter from Ohio Works First, Ohio Medicaid card, letter of service -related disability from Veterans Benefits Administration, Ohio Direction Card, Social Security Disability benefit letter, most recent tax return ( does not exceed 150% of federal poverty guidelines).

Drop in the first Monday of every month from 1pm-3pm at the Salvation Army located at 250 East Main Street, Newark. If a holiday falls on the first Monday, the clinic will be open the second Monday of the month.
Application process

The JT Callander Bright Spot Clinic is designed to serve unsheltered pet owners and income-qualified families living in Licking County. The clinic provides a drop in veterinary wellness clinic. Licensed veterinarians from Licking County Humane Society will provide the services offered at the clinic.
