- Serves residents of Jefferson County. - Individuals and families may qualify if the household income is under 130% of the Federal Poverty Guideline level. - Households are categorically eligible/automatically qualify if they are receiving SSI, OWF, or PRC services. - Changes in household composition and unreported income could result in changes to benefit amount. Recipients are responsible for reporting these or any other changes within 10 days of occurrence. Receiving more than a household is entitled to could result in overpayment penalties or charges of fraud. -Once approved, individuals and families can remain eligible for benefits until their income exceeds 200% of the Federal Poverty level, at which point their benefits would decrease but not immediately terminate. - Serves United States citizens.

- Call the Ohio Benefits line or visit the website at https://Benefits.ohio.gov for more information, to apply for benefits, or update information. - May also apply, renew, and/or update case information through website anytime (client must have an email address to do this). - In most cases, any interviews can be done over the phone at 1-844-640-6446. Applying by Phone: - The interview may be done during the phone call. Applying via Website or Paper: - The agency will schedule an over the phone interview (client will be given a day and time frame to call in). If a Face-to-face Meeting is Required: - It can be held at any Neighborhood Family Service Center (NFSC). May also pick up and drop off paper applications and submit documents at any NFSC Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm. Application Helpline: - There is a phone line available for those who need help with navigating the website or filling out the paper application. This line is available Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 8:00pm and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00am to 5:00pm. - Current clients may also phone the Ohio Direction Card Customer Service Line 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The Ohio Direction Card (EBT Card) is an electronic debit card that replaced food assistance coupons. The card can be used to purchase food products for human consumption at participating stores. - Those who are homeless or have zero (0) income may be eligible for one (1) month expedited benefit within 24 hours. - Benefits that are not used in a month may be carried over to the next month, up to one (1) year.
