Eligibility
Serves OWF and Medicaid participants in Lorain County.
  • All Medicaid Recipients can receive NET.
  • OWF Cash Assistance may be eligible for bus tickets or a $50 monthly travel allowance to assist with getting to and from work. Eligibility for this is determined by the OWF recipient's Employment Service Counselor (ESC).

Application process
Call the office for more information. Apply for service during regular hours. Specific NET Intake Procedures:
  • Lorain County Department of Job and Family Services (LCDJFS) opens a NET case for Medicaid recipients with LifeCare Ambulance Services, Provide-a-Ride or Lorain County Transit.
  • A client who will be using transportation services is determined to be eligible by the LCDJFS Transportation Coordinator.
  • The client must then call one of the transportation providers to arrange for future services.
  • All NET rides require 48 hours notice.
  • The NET program no longer offers mileage reimbursement for medically-related transportation.
