The purpose of Neighborhood Development/Community Organizing is to revitalize a designated neighborhood/residential area by empowering residents to make positive changes that can be self-sustained by the neighborhood long-term. All initiatives for neighborhood organizing are resident-driven for maximum support, implementation and follow-through.

Service fees for this program are determined from the scope and needs defined for the project.

Eligibility

Generally, this program is introduced into neighborhoods/residential areas that have a high incidence of poverty, drugs (use and or sale), code violations for the exterior of homes and above average disconnect between residents living right next door to one another. Services are also provided in communities where there is a need for revitalization of homes and special buying programs/transition to home ownership.
