Provides aid to families to pay for services that are emergencies and non-recurring and which cannot be addressed using existing community resources. Provides up to $550 assistance with rent payments and/or rental deposits.

Eligibility
Serves Darke County households with at least one child under the age of 18 (or through 19 if the child is still in high school), pregnant women (from conception to delivery), and (in certain cases) the non-custodial parent. Family must have income which is at or below 200% of the federal poverty level. At least one member of the family must be a U.S. citizen or qualified alien. Must have a court ordered eviction notice, be homeless, or seeking new living arrangement due to uninhabitable conditions. Assistance will only be given once in a 12-month period. Client will need to demonstrate that they will be able to make ongoing rent payments after assistance has been given.
