Eligibility

For parenting and anger management, must be 18 and parents. Serves Cuyahoga County residents who are parents or parent figures to their children.

Hours

M-F: 9:00am-5:00pm. Evenings available M and Th. Classes are 9 weeks. Domestic violence prevention class is offered quarterly over a series of Saturdays.

Application process

Phone for an appointment or walk in for initial intake, which takes 30-45 minutes. Best times to do intake are M, Tu, F: 9:00am-3:00pm. Pre-registration is required for classes and for counseling. Photo ID is required for admittance to building each time classes are held.

Description

Provides a variety of services to assist the community in increasing individual and family wellness, through general counseling, participating in anger management, domestic violence prevention, child abuse prevention, and parent education classes, and finding resources and referrals to needed social and community services. Counseling is by a Licensed Social Worker (LISW). Classes for teen parents and fathers may also be available. Parent Cafes held several times a year. Certificates of completion may be available.
