The Union County Health Department offers immunizations for all children birth through 18 years of age. The childhood immunization clinic is by appointment only. Children 11 years and older can also be immunized during their Adult Clinic also by appointment only.

The UCHD is made up of four divisions: Nursing, Environmental Health, Health Promotion, and Vital Statistics, providing services directly to residents as well as services that protect the community as a whole. The main functions are to prevent the spread of infectious diseases, promote health and safety, and build communities that foster health.
