Phone M-F: 8:00am-5:00pm to make an appointment, preferably mentioning interest in this group for prenatal care. Will then be scheduled with the nurse, and financial counselor if necessary, before being referred to the physician for the group. Information on this program is also available on the website or clients can send a text (text the word "baby" to the phone number listed) to receive program information and locations.
Accepts most insurance providers and some Medicaid providers, and Kaiser if client has a MetroHealth primary care physician. Those without insurance must be rated by MetroHealth financial counselors to determine fee scale.

Description
Offers an alternative program of prenatal care in which pregnant women, after their initial obstetric intake, are assigned to a group of 8-12 women, generally with similar due dates. The group meets together every other week for 10 sessions, and may also meet in the postpartum period to share their experiences. A doctor meets with them throughout, and performs medical assessment and care. Participants may be assisted by a case manager from Moms First who will link them to needed services throughout the pregnancy and through the first year. Father, relative, or friends may attend with the mother, if preferred.
