Post-Season And Amended Returns 2025 | United Way Of Summit And Medina

Offers free post-season, amended, and back taxes (for 2021 through 2024) tax preparation assistance and electronic filing for low-income households with current year and amended returns. NOTE: Will only complete amended returns if Financial Empowerment Center (FEC) staff completed the original return.

Akron: By appointment only from Thursday May 1st, 2025 through Thursday June 26th, 2025 on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:00am to 2:00pm. NOTE: Appointments occurring on or after May 27th, 2025: Clients should report to 37 North High Street, Akron (44308) for their tax appointment. Appointments occurring before this date should continue to report to the Financial Empowerment Center. Medina: By appointment only from Tuesday May 13th through Tuesday June 14th, 2025 on every other Tuesday.

- Call 2-1-1 to make an in-person appointment. - When at the location for a tax preparation appointment, ring the buzzer or bell for entry.

Eligibility

- Serves residents of Summit and Medina counties. - To receive tax preparation assistance, must have an earned income and adjusted gross income (AGI) of $67,000 or less during the 2024 tax year. - Able to assist with self-employment (sole-proprietorships) for households that meet income eligibility. - NOTE: Not able to assist with bankruptcy, foreclosure, rental income, non-cash charitable contributions over $500, virtual currency, farm income, and small businesses with business loss, employees, or inventory.
