Provides direct instructional and support services to eligible children and youth. Goal is to get children into school and to ensure success of children and families in the school district. Services include providing or referring eligible families to supports that may assist with a family's housing stabilization, including assistance with getting documents for school enrollment (birth certificates, immunization records, etc), food and other basic needs assistance. Direct services to assist with school work may include digital equipment for online learning and access to the Internet. School services may include tutoring, school appropriate clothing, school supplies, homework assistance, educational enrichment, vocational assessment for teens, and special needs assessment for preschoolers. Also provides an e-mail system for shelter managers to connect them directly to the school district and ensure ease of school registration for eligible children.
