Provides supplemental food vouchers, nutrition education, counseling, support and referral services to eligible women, children, fathers, and kinship caregivers. Nursing mothers are provided with information and education on breastfeeding.

Application process
Call a local WIC clinic to schedule an appointment. Clients must meet with a WIC staff member.

Eligibility
- Serves women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have had a baby (or been pregnant) within the last six (6) months. NOTE: Women younger than 18 do NOT need parent/guardian permission. - Serves infants and children up to five (5) years old via their legal custodial guardian. - Applicants must live in Summit County, meet household income guidelines, and meet certain nutritional or health risks. - Income eligibility guidelines are up to 185% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines that were in effect the previous April 1st. Number in household includes unborn children (Example: A pregnant, single woman is a household of two). Definition of income does NOT include household assets. - Individuals receiving Medicaid, Ohio Works First or Food Stamps automatically meet income eligibility.
