Provides long-range guidelines for land-use, housing, and socio-economic activities in Akron. Prepares land use plans/development controls for newly annexed areas of the city; completes renewal plans for housing rehabilitation projects; monitors and updates changes in vacant industrial and commercial land and building surveys; identifies and corrects land use in the city by ward. Works with Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority and the Summit County Public Health to assure maintenance of Section 8 assisted properties.
