The KPI Program is designed to promote and support permanent kinship caregivers by providing time-limited incentive payments to families caring for their kin. Eligible caregivers shall receive a one-time payment to defray costs of placement and may receive subsequent payments at six month intervals to support the stability of the child's placement in the home.
