Serves veterans in Cuyahoga County who are homeless (doubling up or "couch surfing" counts as homeless) or facing homelessness (a three day notice from the landlord is acceptable). Must have honorable, general, or "other than honorable" discharge status (those with dishonorable status are not eligible). Generally, serves those with very low to extremely low income.

Description

Provides first month's rent and security deposit to help veterans establish permanent housing. Will also help with rent to help veterans stay in their current housing. Clients are provided with benefits assistance, landlord/tenant assistance, and case management to ensure that they are connected to available community resources and VA benefits. Clients do not have to stay in the county they reside in (may move from county to county).
