Public Transportation | Geauga County Transit
Provides door-to-door service to all Geauga County residents and visitors requiring transportation service within the county, utilizing a demand responsive transit system. Drivers will knock on door for pick-up, and will assist clients to the bus. Bus may need to make stops en route to the client's destination. Also offers the Wheels to Work program which provides rides based on the client's work schedule.

Application process
Phone to schedule appointment M-F: 6:00am to 9:00pm. Reservations taken up to 7 days in advance. Next or same day service may be available. The bus may arrive 15 minutes before or 15 minutes after the scheduled pickup time. Phone for information on getting a Transit Eligibility Card for reduced fee M-F: 7:30am-4:30pm (forms are also available on web site). Passengers must have exact fare, no change is available. When boarding the vehicle, place the fare into the farebox. Can accept payment via credit card - but must call first to set up an account. Those riding to the two stops outside the county must make their own arrangements with that county's public transportation system.
Fee
Fixed fee. 50% reduced rates available for: children ages 6-17, individuals with disabilities, and older adults age 65 or older. Children under 5 ride free with adult. Rides outside of Geauga County are double the fare.
Eligibility
No restrictions. However, must have a regular, fixed work schedule to use the Wheels to Work service.
