Eligibility
Serves children and youth age 7 to 17 and young adults 18 to 25 who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling, primary caregiver, or significant person.
Required documents
Must complete a camper application. As a part of the application, a Comfort Zone representative will contact the parent/guardian to talk about the child’s loss. If it is determined that Comfort Zone Camp can meet the needs of the child and there is space available in the requested camp, the applicant will get a confirmation letter of the child’s acceptance. If Comfort Zone is unable to meet the child’s needs, the agency will call to discuss that with applicant.

Campers participate in many typical camp activities, such as kickball, football, hiking, arts and crafts, songs, games, karaoke, camp songs and s’mores, and a low ropes challenge course. Camps are held year-round. Some camps are specialized for the type of loss, such as due to an overdose or suicide.
