Eligibility
Young adults who were in foster care and now 18, 19, or 20 years of age, and also meet one of the following:
- working on a high school diploma or GED,
- in a secondary education program to earn a degree or certificate,
- in a program to reduce barriers for employment,
- working at least 80 hours a month.
- unable to meet the criteria above due to a physical or mental health issue per a licensed professional.

Application process
- Individuals transitioning out of foster care can speak to their caseworker and be referred up to three (3) months prior to emancipation.
- Individuals who have already aged out/emancipated from care and are under the age of 21 may complete a referral form at www.childrenandyouth.ohio.gov/for-youth/bridges/apply. A Bridges representative will contact the individual within two (2) business days.

Provides supportive services to former foster children to help them in achieving self -sufficiency. Supports may include job finding assistance, locating housing, healthcare acquisition, forming educational plans post-high school, and more.
