Eligibility

Young adults who were in foster care and now 18 to 21 years of age, and also are: - working on a high school diploma or GED - in college or in a job training program. - in a program to help obtain a job. - working at least 80 hours a month. OR: - unable to do these things because of a health issue.

Application process

- If currently in foster care, talk to your caseworker to join Bridges. Your caseworker will contact Bridges about three months before you leave foster care. - If you left foster care and are under age 21, fill out the Bridges referral form at www.childrenandyouth.ohio.gov/for-youth/bridges/apply to get started. Someone from Bridges will be in contact within two business days.

Provides supportive services to former foster children to help them succeed in adult life. Supports may include job finding assistance, locating housing, healthcare acquisition, forming educational plans post-high school, and more.
