GRANTS FOR GRADS | OHIO HOUSING FINANCE AGENCY
Offers recent college graduates, including those earning postgraduate degrees, a down payment and closing cost assistance and a favorable mortgage interest rate through Ohio Housing Finance Agency's (OHFA) Grants for Grads Program. Gives eligible borrowers the ability to use the grant to reduce out-of-pocket expenses associated with buying a home. OHFA partners with a variety of lenders including banks, mortgage companies and credit unions throughout the state.

Fee
Gives approved applicants an opportunity to qualify for a grant in the range of 2.5% or 5% of the home's purchase price. Note: Grant may cover some of the up-front cost, borrowers may still be required to contribute some money as well.
Eligibility
Must meet the following to qualify for the program: - Have not owned or had an ownership interest in your primary residence in the last three (3) years. - Meet specific income and purchase price limits. - Earned an associate's, bachelor's, master's, or doctorate degree within the last 48 months from a program recognized by the United States Department of Education. - Have a credit score of 640 or higher. NOTE: Credit score requirements may be higher for different loan types. Check with lender for specific credit score requirements.
