OHIO RELAY SERVICE - SPEECH TO SPEECH (STS) / CAP TEL | T-MOBILE

Assists with telephone communications for persons with speech disabilities. Messages from a speech disabled person are repeated by a communication assistant (CA) to the receiver of the call. CAs are trained in speech patterns and language recognition. Offers a special service for those who can speak, but can not hear called CAP TEL.

Application process

Phone Speech to Speech for service or Ohio Relay Customer Service for information 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week. There are separate phone numbers for the CAP TEL service (one is for this with land lines and the other is for those with mobile devices).

Fee

Speech to speech and CAP TEL service is free. There is a charge for long distance calls. Inform operator of choice of long distance carrier or will default to Sprint long distance service.
