Open to Boone County residents who own and occupy a property as their primary residence and meet at least one of the following criteria:
  • age 65 or older
  • considered totally disabled by a public or private retirement system
  • a veteran who has been declared at least 70% service related disabled

Description

Accepts applications for homestead and disability property tax exemptions. For eligible property owners, a predetermined amount will be subtracted from their property’s assessed value, resulting in a reduction in their property taxes.
