Homeless School Transition Programs (FAMILIES IN TRANSITION) | Erlanger/elsmere School District

Serves families with school aged children living in the Erlanger/Elsmere school district who are in temporary housing or are in danger of losing their housing. Families or youth are eligible if they are experiencing any of the following conditions:
- Living in a shelter
- Living in a motel or hotel
- Living in a car, abandoned building, or on the street
- Living in inadequate accommodations (collapsed home, lack of water or electricity, etc.)
- Living with others temporarily due to loss of housing or economic hardship
- Unaccompanied youth who have been kicked out and/or are couch surfing

Offers Families in Transition (FIT) programming. Provides educational opportunities and assistance to children and youth experiencing homelessness. Qualifying students may be eligible for assistance with school supplies and clothing, academic support and tutoring, transportation to and from school, and referrals for other services.
Provides public education to students within Erlanger/Elsmere School District boundary.
