HEALTHY HOMES PROGRAM - LEAD | FRANKLIN COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH

Lead is a naturally occurring element found in small amounts in the the earth's crust that can be toxic to humans and animals and cause adverse health effects. Homes, buildings, schools or daycare centers built before 1978 may contain some lead paint. Lead can damage nearly every system in the human body and has harmful effects on both adults and children. Lead poisoning is the greatest environmental threat to children in Ohio. FCPH offers a home lead inspection service for a fee.
