Offers opportunities to volunteer as a tutor to adults needing help with basic literacy. Agency may give an appreciation lunch for volunteers. Volunteers receive training and orientation on the first day of service or the day before.

Recruits and trains volunteers who tutor adults who read below fifth grade level and/or need GED instruction. Also provides classes in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and classes to assist in preparing for citizenship.
