HCAP - HOSPITAL CARE ASSURANCE PROGRAM | CLEVELAND CLINIC AKRON GENERAL
Provides free hospital care for qualifying low-income, uninsured patients of Cleveland Clinic hospitals. Services not covered by Hospital Care Assurance Program (HCAP) are medically unnecessary treatments, transplant services, physician charges, ambulance and patient convenience items (telephone, parking, television, personal items).

Application process
Call the hospital for more information. Patients must complete an application, apply and have their eligibility approved to receive free care under the HCAP program. Patients must submit an application within three (3) years of receiving a statement for the specific services.

Eligibility
To qualify for HCAP: - Must be a resident of Ohio. - Must not be currently enrolled in Medicaid. - Must be an individual or family at or below 100% of Federal Poverty Income Guidelines or be a current recipient of the Disability Assistance program.
