Eligibility
  • Serves low-income Summit County families who own single-family homes. Some ZIP code restrictions may apply.
  • Homeowner must occupy the home as their primary residence.
  • All property taxes, homeowner's insurance, and utilities must be paid and up-to-date.
  • If a mortgage on the home exists it must be current with the lender and not be in danger of foreclosure.
  • Homeowner's insurance must be current and paid to date.
  • Must agree to sweat equity requirements of eight (8) hours of sweat equity for every $1,000 estimated repair costs.
  • Income must be between 30% and 80% of the Area Median Income guidelines.
  • Only one (1) home repair per household within a three (3) year period.
Required documents
Completed application with required documentation, including:
  • Proof of up-to-date payment of property taxes and homeowner's insurance.
  • Proof of current mortgage payments if a mortgage exists on the home.
  • Proof of income and most recent tax return.
  • Proof of up-to-date utilities, gas, electric, water, sewer, and trash.

Application process
Applications are currently closed for repairs in 2026 and will reopen from November 1st, 2026 to February 27th, 2027 for repairs in 2027. Call or visit the administrative office or visit the website for more information or an application.
Fees
Requires a $50 down payment if approved for the program. The amount of the loan will include the final cost of the materials used in the repairs. There is a 10% discount for those that pay the loan back early.

Offers an exterior home repair program with a 0% interest loan repayment for eligible homeowners in order to live in safe and well-maintained homes. Qualifying projects include exterior ramps, windows, doors, siding, gutters, landscaping, and exterior painting.
