Eligibility

Client must be a PIPP (Percentage of Income Payment Plan) customer of American Electric Power (AEP) and have resided for the past 12 months in their current residence in Jackson and Vinton counties. Client must have a high electrical base load usage. The agency will examine the bill to determine if client has high usage. Owners and renters may qualify. In order to determine whether appliances are inefficient and would potentially qualify for replacement, refrigerators and freezers must register energy usage. The client may only receive energy audit once per lifetime per address.
