Eligibility

Public records requests may be made by any resident of Ohio. Some records are exempt from public disclosure and may only be accessed by designated parties, such as those authorized by a state judge or court order.

Application process

Requests may be submitted in person or by mail. Requesters must specifically identify the requested records with enough clarity to allow identification and retrieval of the records.

Fees
5 cents per printed page. $1 per disk for electronic documents placed on a CD.

Maintains and, where appropriate, provides access to records kept by the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction containing information about the confinement, probation/parole, and release of offenders.
