Eligibility
- Serves low income Jefferson County households with at least one child age 19 or under may qualify.
- Parents of minor children applying for Ohio Works First (OWF) must sign a self-sufficiency contract that details their personal responsibility, along with specific work related activities that they are required to participate in.
- Failure of the adult member of the assistance group to complete their assigned work hours results in the household being sanctioned from the OWF Program.
- OWF benefits are time limited to 36 months in a lifetime.
- Under certain extreme conditions, households can exceed this 36 month limit.
