For financial assistance, must be an honorably-discharged veteran, or their spouse or dependent children, who has established residency in Lucas County for a minimum of 90 days; must meet income eligibility guidelines (at or below 250% of the federal poverty guidelines).

Description
Provides emergency financial assistance for rent, mortgage, utilities, public transportation, medication, work clothing and food vouchers through partnerships with other providers. Also provides VA Benefit Advocacy to help veterans and their families identify and access benefits from the Department of Veteran Affairs for which they qualify. Also provides official State of Ohio Veterans ID card that proves that the veteran has honorable discharge papers filed with the county. Veterans may also use the card for discounts with area businesses.
