Application process
Couples MUST pre-register for a marriage license online through the website. Once preregistration is completed may walk-in for service (no appointments necessary). May Phone for information. Parents of females under 18 must be present.

Fixed fee, only accepts cash for license. Fixed fee for copies.
Eligibility
Individuals age 17 or older. If both applicants joining in marriage are 17 years of age, they may be joined in marriage only if juvenile court has filed a consent to the marriage. If only one applicant is 17 years of age, that applicant may be joined in marriage only if juvenile court has filed a consent to the marriage and the other person to be joined in marriage is not more than four (4) years older than the applicant of 17 years of age. One person (of the couple applying) must reside in Cuyahoga County or the ceremony must take place in Cuyahoga County. COPIES: No restrictions.
