Job Coaching And Job Skill-Building For Disabled | Vocational Guidance Services

Provides individualized coaching to assist participants in all areas of job readiness. Some sections may offer job shadowing, work sociability, acceptance of rules and supervision, and work quality and production. Also may provide independent travel training.

Varies, dependent upon job placement/site. Hours can be flexible to meet individual client needs. Job Coaches are available for first, second, and third shift as well as weekend hours. Supportive services are provided M-F: 8:00am-4:30pm.

Application process

Phone. Job coaches are usually requested on a referral basis for individual clients. Agency referrals include Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation (BVR), Pathways, and the Cleveland Sight Center. Prefer one-week notice for job coach needs to allow for appropriate scheduling.

Fixed fee, often third-party paid. No cost to the individual

Eligibility

18 and older, disabled (learning disabled, mentally ill, physically disabled, or developmentally disabled), and residing in Cuyahoga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Summit, Ashtabula, Portage, Trumbull, Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca, Erie, Huron, Geauga, Frankiln, Delaware, Fairfield, and Licking Counties.
