Provides veterans and their dependents United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) accredited Veterans Service Officers (VSOs) to assist them in understanding VA benefits and in filing claims. Provides services such as explaining benefits, filling out forms, forwarding claims for processing and representing veterans in appeals. Provides case management to veterans, helping them screen and file for federal, state and county veterans' benefits as well as other social service benefits. Can help veterans apply for an upgrade in discharge status, if needed.
