Basic Library Services | Westlake Porter Public Library

Operates as an independent public library providing books, magazines, downloadable digital materials (e-books, e-magazines,streaming videos, music) pamphlets, compact disks, on-line books, microfilm readers, DVDs, audiobooks, computers for use and books and materials in large print, as well as reference information and referral. Also offers a Makerspace with a variety of equipment and a variety of research, career development, and test-taking resources. Meeting rooms are available for public use by reservation. Also a certified US Passport application acceptance facility and photo taker.

Application process

Walk In for Service or phone for information. Need an appointment for meeting room use and Passport photos and application acceptance - phone to schedule an appointment. Appointments also recommended for the Makerspace.

Fee

Free. No fines for overdue materials, but replacement charges levied for materials not returned after a certain amount of time has elapsed. Fixed fees for copies. Those with a Golden Buckeye card are exempt from any fines or late charges.

Eligibility

No restrictions to use services on site. Library cards are only issued to residents of the State of Ohio and those from out of state attending college.
