- Individuals or families can apply for housing online by visiting the Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority website at www.akronhousing.org. Follow instructions for submitting a Preliminary Application. - Once a Preliminary Application has been submitted online, the applicant will be provided with a confirmation number as proof of the date and time of application submission. - When applicants are near the top of the wait list for any of the programs they selected, applicants will be notified by mail to attend an orientation and complete a full application.
