- Summit Lake Community Center: Open Sunday January 18th, 2026 to Tuesday January 20th, 2026: 8:00am to 7:00pm. - Generally available when weather temperatures reach the mid-teens with lows in the single digits, for a sustained period of time, the extension of warming center hours will be activated by the City of Akron. Official announcements will be made on the City of Akron Mayor's Facebook and Twitter pages, or citizens may call 3-1-1 for information.
