Eligibility

Household income must be within the low-income limit set by HUD, which cannot exceed 80% of the median income for the area.

Required documents
Other documents (Names, Social Security numbers, birth dates, and income and asset information for all household members are required to complete waitlist applications. Applicants will be asked to provide documentation to support the information on their application when their name comes to the top of the waitlist)

Application process

Online application required to join the waiting list when open. The waiting list may close and stop accepting applications periodically. The average time spent on the waiting list is 12-18 months.

Fees

No fee to apply. Rent for qualified applicants is based on 30-40% of monthly adjusted gross income. The program pays the remainder directly to the landlord under a specific contract. Tenants also pay any required security deposit.
