Wheels To Work | Allen County Department Of Job And Family Services

Assists clients in receiving a lower interest rate car loan through Superior Credit Union in order to gain or retain reliable transportation for employment by purchasing their own vehicle. Through the Wheels to Work process, candidates work intensely with an OhioMeansJobs job coach on locating potential vehicles, assistance with working with the car dealerships during the buying process, car maintenance education, and extensive financial literacy and budgeting. By making on time monthly car payments over the loan duration - clients have the opportunity to build their credit. Participation in budget counseling, general car maintenance, and/or employment assistance may be required.
