Head Start is a federally funded preschool specifically for low income children ages 3 to 5, at or below 130% of the Federal Poverty Level. Foster children are automatically eligible. If you have a child with a developmental delay, please call to complete an application regardless of income.
Proof of income and birth certificate. Will need a child physical once accepted.

Description

Head Start is a national program that promotes school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of children through the provision of educational, health, nutritional, social and other services to enrolled children and families. Children who attend Head Start participate in a variety of educational activities. They also receive free medical and dental care, enjoy healthy meals and snacks, and play outdoors and indoors in a safe setting. Head Start centers are required to meet all State and local licensing regulations.
