Emergency Assistance (ELECTRIC) | The Salvation Army Kroc Center
Program provides assistance for electric bills (upon verification of disconnect notice). Caller may still receive assistance if utility is shut off. Program only provides assistance on the last $100.00 of the bill. Caller must be able to prove the rest of the bill is covered and prove they can afford future payments.

Regular utility assistance for electric, gas, and water is once a year. The Gift of Power program is an every other year program.

The Salvation Army Support Services department provides utility assistance for AES, Centerpoint, and water to those who have disconnect notices. We are also able to provide vouchers to our thrift stores for clothing and various household needs.
