Residents of Mahoning County with income at or below 175% of the federal income guidelines.

Required documents

Photo ID for household members 18 years old and over OR Birth Certificate if no photo ID, Social Security cards for all household members…adults and children, Current Dominion or Columbia gas bill AND/OR pending account number- service off over 10 days, Current Ohio Edison electric bill AND/OR pending account number if service is off, Bulk Fuel Customers: (propane/wood/pellet or any other alternate fuel) statement.

Call for an appointment. No in-person service due to the pandemic. Drop boxes and program applications with instructions available outside MYCAP office.

Component of HEAP provides assistance once per heating season to eligible households that are disconnected, threatened with disconnection, or have less than a 25% supply of bulk fuel. Winter Crisis is Nov 1-Mar 31.
