Eligibility

Residents of Darke County whose household income is below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines. Clients can receive assistance every 6 months. If client receives assistance 3 times and applies again they will be required to received budget counseling provided by the agency.

Photo ID, bill or statement from utility company, proof of income for all members of the household.

Description

Provides utility bill payment assistance for electricity, gas, water and heating fuel. Assistance may be available for up to the last $100 owed on utility bills. For example, if client owes $150, they must pay $50 to utility company before applying for these funds.
