Sopec Electric Aggregation Program | Sustainable Ohio Public Energy Council (SOPEC)
Offering renewable electricity service at a fixed rate for a set period of time. Note: electric service is currently provided through AEP Energy. At the start of the electric aggregation program, eligible accounts that were receiving the standard service offer (SSO)/price-to-compare with The Illuminating Company were automatically enrolled. Accounts can be ineligible based on their electricity usage, location, supply contracts, or if they are served by Cleveland Public Power.

Phone for more information or to enroll M-F: 8:00am-7:00pm; Sa: 9:00am-1:00pm. May also verify eligibility and enroll through the website. Customers will automatically be enrolled in the 100% Green-e rate but can request a 0% Green-e step-down rate. Options to opt-down to traditional (non-renewable) power are available by calling AEP Energy.

Eligibility
Cleveland residents with Illuminating Company as a service provider. Those on PIPP do not qualify. If the account uses more than 700,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) annually or is part of a national chain of accounts it will not qualify.
