DOMESTIC RELATIONS | WOOD COUNTY DOMESTIC RELATIONS COURT

As part of the Common Pleas Court, the Domestic Relations Court has jurisdiction to terminate marriages by divorce, dissolution or annulment; the Court generally has authority over the children of the marriage until the children have turned 18 and no longer regularly attend high school; the Court shares jurisdiction with the Municipal Court and the Common Pleas Court over domestic violence cases; the judges of the Court of Common Pleas of Wood County have appointed two magistrates to hear most cases with issues including dissolution, divorce, legal separation, post-decree motions and civil protection orders.
