Coordinates program funding through Title III of the Older Americans Act and the Senior Community Services Block Grant. Provides technical assistance to service providers. Monitors all individual service providers to ensure that the required quality and quantity of services is maintained. Provides technical assistance to housing developers and congregate and home-delivered meal programs.

Plans, funds, and coordinates services for older persons and persons with disabilities in Portage, Stark, Summit, and Wayne counties to live with dignity and choices in their homes and communities for as long as possible. Administers PASSPORT, MyCare Ohio, The Assisted Living Waiver, The Ohio Home Care Waiver, Care Coordination, Elder Rights, Family Caregiver Support Program, Nursing Home Placement Assistance Program, and other services designed to help older adults and individuals with functional limitations maintain independence. Provides funds for services administered by other community agencies including client finding, specialized information and referral, transportation, home-delivered meals, medical treatment, personal care, respite care, safety monitoring, health assessments, congregate meals, recreational activities, and adult day care.
