Eligibility
To register to vote, an individual must be a native-born or naturalized U.S. citizen who is 18 years old by the general election and a resident of the state and county at least 28 days before election.

An individual is not eligible to register to vote if they are:

  • A convicted felon whose civil rights have not been legally restored
  • A citizen who has been judged “mentally incompetent” in a court of law
  • A citizen who claims the right to vote outside Kentucky
