Adoption Assistance Connections To 21 | Ohio Department Of Children And Youth

Eligibility
Serves families of adoptees who are:
  • 18, 19, or 20 years old.
  • not married.
  • not in the military.
AND the adoptee meets one (1) of the following:
  • is finishing high school or working on a diploma (like a GED).
  • is in college or a trade school.
  • is doing a job program or something that helps to get or keep a job.
  • is working at least 80 hours each month.
OR unable to do the above due to a health problem. ALSO:
  • The adoptive parent still helps the adoptee and can show proof they are responsible for the adoptee.
  • The adoption was made official with a special agreement when the adoptee was 16 or 17.

Will be requested as needed.

Spanish, also utilizes language interpretation services.
