Application process

Phone for information. Generally patients without third-party payment, including Medicaid and Medicare, are not scheduled for appointments until they meet with a Financial Counselor. Bill payment assistance may be applied for before or after appointments. It is recommended that the client call the number of the billing department that is on any bill they receive to discuss or confirm that discounts have been applied because the process is not automatic.

Fee

No fee for service; Those who have no health insurance must have household income at or below 400% of federal poverty guidelines to apply for financial help. Patients who qualify for charity might not always have a 100% of bill covered. Those who have an outstanding bill may be able to receive a payment plan on a case-by-case basis. For patients with insurance: program does not cover out of pocket expenses such as co-pays, co-insurance, and/or deductibles.

Eligibility

Patients of Cleveland Clinic facilities that are uninsured, underinsured or insured that have problems paying their medical bill.
